4 Hit Double Figures As 'Dogs Down Eastfield

Navarro Basketbal shot 61.3 percent and meshed double-fugring scoring from four players Wednesday in its 100-88 season-opening victory over the Dallas College-Eastfield Harvester Bees.

Freshmen Antoine Lorick tallied 23 points from 9-of-11 shooting with seven rebounds and a blocked shot to pace coach Grant McMillan's Bulldogs to the win.

Freshman Ronnie Harrison contributed 15 points from 7-of-10 shooting and cleared five boards for NC. Which coasted to a 56-36 hafltime advantage.

Sophomore guard Colby Henderson fashioned a 14-point, 12-rebound double-double with five assists and two steals.  Henderson's first career double-double here featured six-of-six free-throw shooting and a team-high nine defensive boards.

Sophomore transfer Cardell Bailey netted 12 points and three rebounds.

The Bulldogs got point production from 11 players and maintained 20-point advantages for most of the contest, despite 3o turnovers.  The Harvester Bees cut into the lead and closed within seven (83-76) with about six minutes to play.

Freshman guards Amarion Wilson and Evan Smith combined for 16 assists, seven rebounds and two steals in the effort.
