5 Hit Double Figures As 'Dawgs Trounce Mountain View

Five Bulldogs hit double figures among 13 scorers Monday in a 112-80 rout of Dallas College-Mountain View.
 
Freshman Antoine Lorick came off the bench and produced 18 points from 8-of-11 shooting, with eight rebounds, three assists and two steals to pace coach Grant McMillan's Bulldogs, Navarro shot a season-best 50 percent from the floor and cracked the 100-point plateau for the fifth time this month.
 
Navarro improved to 6-3 heading into Thursday's Region XIV conference opener at Jacksonville against the Jaguars at Curtis Carroll Fieldhouse.
 
Freshman Charles Yao, Jr., also came of the bench to score 17 points from 7-of-10 shooting with four rebounds and three steals in NC's highest-scoring output of the season.
 
Guard Mikey West turned in his first double-double – a 14-point, 13-assist effort with six defensive boards and two steals.
 
Navarro built a 53-38 halftime lead and outscored the Lions 59-43 during the final 20 minutes.
 
Sophomore Trae Clayton contributed 13 points and nine rebounds, while freshman Ronnie Harrison reached double-figure scoring for the ninth time this season with 12 points and seven boards.
