San Jacinto-South's Coyotes swept a non-conference doubleheader from Navarro here Tuesday.
While extending their winning streak to nine games, San Jacinto-South (14-3) rode the arms of routegoing starters Catalina Cavazos and Ronni Groffman, who limited Navarro to three hits in each game.
SJC's 5-2 and 8-0 wins spoiled the Bulldogs' home-season debut at Jesse and Lou Cummings Field.
GAME 1 -- SAN JACINTO 5, NAVARRO 2
Cavazos pitched a three-hitter and Maggie Childs led San Jacinto's 11-hit attack with a two-run double as the Coyotes defeated Navarro in Game 1.
